Malware

Malicious code hidden in software — in open source, often via hijacked or typosquatted packages.

Malware in the open-source supply chain rarely announces itself. It arrives as a typosquatted package name one character off from the real one, a maintainer account takeover that ships a poisoned update, or an install script that quietly exfiltrates credentials from CI.

Griffin AI, Safeguard's analysis engine, performs deep binary and behavioral analysis on every component — detecting backdoors, credential stealers, cryptominers, and anomalous code patterns before they reach your environment. Gold certification requires zero detected malware.
